Erik A. Castillo

Animation Artist

Erik A. Castillo is a Character Animator with over ten years of professional experience bringing characters to life across film and television. A lifelong enthusiast of animation and storytelling, he has built a successful career translating performance, emotion, and personality into compelling animated performances.


His credits include major productions such as Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight, Doctor Sleep, Pokémon Detective Pikachu, and Shazam!. Through these projects, Erik has contributed to delivering memorable character performances across a range of genres and audiences.


In addition to his production work, Erik is also dedicated to education, working as a professor and mentor to aspiring animators. He is passionate about sharing his knowledge and helping the next generation develop the technical skills and artistic sensibilities needed to succeed in the animation industry.

  • If you have the opportunity to work with Erik, you should jump at it. Erik is a fantastic animator and has a strong understanding of the entire process of animation production. During his time at DreamWorks, Erik worked on two very demanding productions: Fast and Furious: Spy Racers and Kung Fu Panda: Dragon Knight. I can say without hesitation that the storytelling and animation quality on these two productions would not be what they are if it weren't for Erik.
