Hector Abraham Torres

Character Rigger at Sony Pictures Animation

Hector Abraham Torres is a Rigging Character Technical Director at Walt Disney Animation Studios, with over ten years of experience in the field. His shipped titles include Moana, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Monsters at Work, and The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run.


In addition to his studio work, Hector has nine years of experience teaching rigging at numerous schools and regularly shares his expertise on stage at animation events, helping the next generation of artists develop their technical and creative skills.

  • Hector worked with us on the SpongeBob movie (VES-nominated) and PAW Patrol: The Movie when I was Lead and then the Supervising Animator at Mikros Animation.
